Randumb Rants
Background
The year is 2017. While conversing with a friend in the student lounge of my university, I mentioned I had radio show at a previously attended college. I had thoughts of wanting to start another radio show, and he was onboard with the idea of joining me on this endeavor. We couldn't figure out what exactly the show would be about, but we wanted the vibe to be similar to a morning radio talkshow with a random array of topics. After spitballing some names, I threw out the name Random Rants. We liked how it sounded, so with my love for puns and dad jokes I altered the name to Randumb Rants.
What's Next?
That's a great question. For the last six years I've always had fond memories of my time with Randumb Rants, and I've had thoughts to bring it back in some capacity. Then, one randumb day this year I was curious if the domain name was available for purchase. I searched Google Domains and the results were staggering:
Random Rants? Available for $3,000 a year.
Randumb Rants? Available.....for $12 a year.
SOLD.
I purchased the domain immediately without a second thought about it. Now the waves of dread started to flow. What exactly was I going to do with this domain? Would I park this domain and hold onto it for someone else to buy? Or would I finally make a second Instagram and start posting the randumb stuff I've always wanted to?
Time for Randumb.Rants to exist. Because you know: I got the domain but someone else has the Instagram handle.
